1) I must find the Super Salesman / I must become the Super Salesman.
Many of us view the MLM business as a numbers game but a successful network marketing business builder looks at both quantity and quality of people. However, as concerned as we are about the numbers in our team, we would rather be sponsoring five teachers than five salesmen.

However, we do not want to tell our people how to sell, we want to teach our people how to sponsor and teach to build a large organization. Likewise, if you are a sales person yourself or you have people who are sales oriented in your network marketing team, teach them how to sponsor and teach to build a sustainable organization.
It can be difficult because if for example, you tell your super salesman that you need to sponsor people to make the larger amounts of income, what will they do? They will go out there and sponsor 3 to 4 people a week. This is great isn?t it? However, you may then notice that people are dropping out as fast as they join your team. This is because you are not working with them effectively. Sooner or later, your super salesman will be discouraged by the high leaving rate and leave the organization as well.
In order to avoid this, our organization has to be built on the strong foundation by TEACHING OTHERS to sponsor and teaching them to teach others to do the same.
2) I need to sponsor the whole world to be successful.
The Super Salesman can sponsor 100 people in a short period of time but most (or sometimes all) of them will drop out of the business. Now, which do you feel you could do more quickly ? sponsor 100 people yourself? Or sponsor 5 people who are serious and teach them how to teach their 5 to do the same?
The network marketing business concept works on the idea of LEVERAGE. There is absolutely no need to sponsor the whole world to be successful. Concentrate on working with five in your team and teach them also to work with their five and so on.
3) I only need to bring in one other person.
Most people think that you have duplicated yourself once you brought one other person into your organization. This is NOT true. The concept of true duplication only comes about when you have built your organization THREE LEVELS DEEP.
Take the example you sponsor ?A?. If you leave and because you did not teach ?A? and he does not know what to do, that?s the end it. On the contrary, if you DO teach ?A? to sponsor ?B?, ?A? will know what to do even if you go away from the organization. However, if ?A? does not know how to teach ?B? to sponsor, then again the structure will collapse and that?s the end of it too.
Therefore, in a team, it is imperative to teach ?A? how to teach ?B? how to sponsor ?C?. Now, you are THREE DEEP and have successfully duplicated yourself. And the same goes for ?A?, he or she has to build three levels deep as well to keep your team sustainable.

Sinha's graduate students have traveled around the country for the past year, interviewing employees at some 87 water and wastewater utilities, compiling about 100 case studies to date. They also compiled about 300 technical descriptions and 100 technology data sheets of original profiles of the underground pipes.
"We have developed a very robust database. It is necessary because the utilities are very fragmented in their efforts, and this database creates a much more level playing field" for the some 40,000 utilities in the U.S., Sinha said.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is funding the four-year study through its Aging Water Infrastructure Research Program that supports the efforts to put the nation's aging infrastructure on a pathway towards sustainability.
Some of the difficulty in compiling the knowledge, Sinha said, is due to the fact that employees at utilities do not publish technical papers on advancements or successes they have achieved. "If someone retires after 35 years, it is likely that the person takes that historical knowledge with him or her," he added. "So when we do data mining talking to experts, data mining, and extracting information from them it is a lot of work but also a lot of valuable information."
Small utilities usually wait until something is broken and needs to be fixed. The problem with this approach, Sinha said, "is analogous to the health of the human body. If you ignore your health, then it takes a lot of resources to restore it. Similarly, the consequences for not addressing the infrastructure problems can also increase. Instead of a $100,000 fix, it might turn into millions, especially if litigation occurs."
WATERiD is free to all users, and Sinha is hopeful that more utilities will start adding their experiences.

Blacksburg, Va. Unfortunately, more than two million miles of the nation's infrastructure of water and wastewater pipelines are underground and nearing the end of their useful life. For state and local water utilities, making accurate predictions of exactly when the pipes might fail are extremely difficult since they are invisible to the human eye in their buried environmental conditions.
In an effort to address this potentially serious problem, a national database on technologies to assess the conditions and rehabilitation of the underground pipes will be available to utilities and the general public, starting on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011.

I would start with the basics ? english, math, science, computers, etc. I am not sure what classes you have taken or what university you are planning to go to. to get an idea on the classes before you see an advisor you can also search the university?s website to see if you can get a degree requirement sheet.
I had to take eng101&102 and a few math courses (you would have to take more in that you are a math major/you intend to or need a math endorsement), about 3-4 education courses, 2 sciences, 1 computer, 1 history, 1 critical reading, and a few electives.
I would definitely check with the university/school you are planning on going to even if you check out the requirements before seeing an advisor.

Do these healthy eating guidelines sound costly?
Researchers at the University of Washington raised eyebrows earlier this month with a study finding that a healthy diet is expensive and difficult for cash-strapped Americans to afford. And with the cost of food rising faster than other products ? the Agriculture Department estimates that grocery prices will rise by 3.5 to 4.5 percent this year and another 3 percent to 4 percent in 2012 ? it would seem that problem may only get worse.
But frugal foodies say it's still possible to eat well on a budget. It just takes a bit of organization and some smart strategies.
The path starts with understanding what's healthy and what's not. That's where the federal government comes in. The USDA has updated its recommendations with the aim of helping people make better food choices. Details of the new "plate" that replaced the "food pyramid" earlier this year can be found on www.choosemyplate.gov . The site explains what types of foods provide different nutrients, which "empty" calories provide little nutrition and provides recipes for a variety of meals.
It's easiest to save if you have some basic cooking skills to rely on. Cooking is almost always going to be less expensive than buying prepared meals or eating out.
Healthy meals don't have to be gourmet concoctions, said Kelly Hancock, the author of the soon-to-be-released book "Saving Savvy" and a blogger at FaithfulProvisions.com. "You don't have to be a master chef to cook dinner every night."
Once armed with the knowledge of what to eat and how to pull it together, getting the most out of every grocery dollar requires a system. But that doesn't mean you have to resort to building up a case full of coupons.
"If you don't have the basic concepts down, coupons are not going to help you," said Hancock.
Instead of focusing on clipping and organizing coupons, put your time into planning, said Steve Economides, who with his wife, Annette, operates the website AmericasCheapestFamily.com, and last fall wrote the book, "Cut Your Grocery Bill In Half."
"Everything we talk about really comes down to planning in advance," he said. "The more you plan, the more you save."
Here's a recipe for grocery saving success:
1. Plan meals and shopping trips to cut down on impulse purchases
The Economides family makes one major shopping trip per month, with a second to pick up necessities in between. Although they acknowledge that their shopping strategy relies on plenty of storage space and a large freezer, they advocate minimizing trips as much as possible. "The more times you go into a store, the more you're going to pick up unplanned items," said Annette Economides.
It's also critical to plan meals and develop a good list. Sit down for a few minutes and map out what your family will eat for the week, and you'll be less likely to randomly fill your cart. Check recipes to make sure you've got all the necessary ingredients, and aren't inviting an extra run to the store for that last item ? and six others.
2. Reduce waste through planning ahead, using leftovers
The U.S. generates more than 34 million tons of food waste each year, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Much of that comes from homes where uneaten food gets discarded.
Overshopping is a big contributor to waste, so planning will help cut down on that problem. Hancock said one way she avoids tossing out good food is by preparing extra-large batches, and freezing a portion of what she's cooked as a convenient second meal. While the Economides use a weekly "leftovers night" to create a smorgasbord dinner.
3. Shop sales to keep your pantry and freezer stocked
Smart shopping advocates say it's easy to get fooled by advertising if you don't know what food typically costs. Grocery chains often include items in their flyers that are not really on sale ? or sale prices that are not their lowest. To know when an item is really a bargain, keep notes on the prices charged in various stores, and the price of items when they're put on sale.
Be sure to put whatever storage space you have available to work. Building a stockpile of staples is an important step in stretching a budget ? but that doesn't mean you have to fill a room with surplus. Avoid going overboard by keeping an inventory of the items in the pantry and freezer to help you decide whether it's time to take advantage of a sale.
4. Learn what's in season, and what goes on sale seasonally
The height of summer is prime time for many fruits and vegetables, and prices drop as the various crops hit their peak. Choosing what's in season can keep costs down, while picking out-of-season produce or items shipped a long distance will require an extra bounty.
"There's no excuse for saying I can't eat fruits and vegetables because they cost too much," said Annette Economides.

"This is a time of uncertainty for young people. The pope is coming to Spain for World Youth Day, bringing a positive and challenging message from young people from all over the world," the Rev. Federico Lombardi, chief Vatican spokesman, said last week.
Pilgrims echoed that need for solace and inspiration.
"The message is about hope, about the future, to move from the current situation ? whatever it is, and now it is kind of devastating ? but move forward toward the future and hope that things will be better," said the Rev. Father Stanley Gomes, a chaplain at Seton Hall University who is accompanying 15 students from the school near New York City.
Organizers say about 450,000 young people from 193 countries ? some from as far away as Vietnam and Pakistan ? have registered to take part. But signing up beforehand is not mandatory and from past experience the total will be about three times those who register.
Two-thirds are expected to be Spaniards; among the rest Italy, France, the United States, Germany and Poland are sending the largest delegations.
The main events are a prayer vigil with the 84-year-old Pope and outdoor sleepover for pilgrims Saturday night at a sprawling air base, and Mass there the next morning.
Except for a trip Friday to a historic monastery in El Escorial, 50 kilometers (30 miles) northwest of Madrid, the Pope will spend the whole visit in Madrid, meeting with young people, hearing confession from some of them, riding through the city in his pope-mobile and greeting young nuns, seminarians and university professors, among other activities.
In Spain the church faces a congregation for whom being Catholic is more a birthmark than a way of life. A poll released in July says that while 72 percent of Spaniards identify themselves as Catholic, 60 percent say they "almost never" go to Mass and only 13 percent every Sunday.
Church organizers insist the papal visit involves zero cost for Spanish taxpayers because the money is coming from corporate sponsors, private donations and fees paid by some of the pilgrims, among other sources.
Pilgrims who buy the premium package get vouchers to eat at nearly 1,500 restaurants which have signed up to take part in the papal visit ? from fast-food hamburger chains to others offering traditional Spanish tapas. And organizers have made created an iPad and smartphone application that will tell pilgrims where the closest participating eatery is and let them communicate with each other in their own social network.
Critics are complaining of the cost of providing extra police security, tax breaks being granted to the corporate sponsors, discount subway and bus tickets for the visitors, and the price tag of opening up school gyms and sports facilities in a vacation month to set up makeshift digs for so many pilgrims.
Even some progressive Catholics are joining a protest march Wednesday night to denounce taxpayer money spent for World Youth Day, a globe-trotting meeting held every three years. The last was in Sydney, Australia, and the next will be in Rio de Janeiro.
"At a time of crisis, and with so many people in need, we feel this visit should not be so massive and attention-drawing, so spectacular, but rather something more simple and closer to the grassroots of the church," said Raquel Mallavibarrena, a spokeswoman for a progressive Catholic group called Redes Cristianas, or Christian Networks.
Police would not say whether they believe the 24-year-old chemistry student arrested Tuesday was capable of carrying out a gas attack. The Mexican Embassy identified the detainee as Jose Perez Bautista and said he was from Puebla state, near Mexico City.
A court official ? speaking on condition of anonymity in line with court policy ? said the suspect had been making threats over the Internet against people opposed to the Pope's visit, and police who'd been monitoring his online activity ultimately decided to arrest him as the visit approached.
Police said in a statement that officers who searched the detainee's apartment in a wealthy district of Madrid seized an external hard-drive and two notebooks with chemical equations that had nothing to do with his studies.
Yago de la Cierva, head of the World Youth Day organizing committee, insisted providing extra police for major, crowd-drawing events is the government's responsibility ? as it was when Spaniards flocked to the streets last summer to welcome home the national football team that won World Cup in South Africa.
Pope Benedict will be received and sent off by King Juan Carlos Queen Sofia and during his stay will meet separately with Socialist Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and conservative opposition leader Marian Rajoy, the man likely to be Spain's next prime minister.
However, the Vatican insists Zapatero and Rajoy meetings are not about politics. It notes the visit was scheduled long before Spain called early elections and is a pastoral one, rather than a state visit.

Healthcare Prof:The south and southwest sides of Chicago suffer the most in terms of residents? health and access to basic health resources, according to a new study of 77 Chicago neighborhoods.
The study from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in collaboration with the Chicago Department of Public Health is the first comprehensive profile compiled in one document of the health of residents and resources in Chicago neighborhoods. The study was made possible with support from the Aetna Foundation and Aetna Inc.
The 150-page study of Chicago neighborhoods tracks the prevalence of five key public health issues for the entire city. The health issues ? which serve as the cornerstone of the Chicago public health agenda ? are childhood obesity, breast cancer, HIV/AIDS, teen pregnancy and motor vehicle injury and death.
These are public health issue priorities with large-scale impact and known, effective strategies to address them.
The study also tracked healthy resources and assets such as parks, easy access to high-quality medical care, safe places to exercise and stores that sell affordable healthy foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables.
Illustrating the imbalance of resources, the south and southwest regions of Chicago have the highest breast cancer mortality rates, but few breast health services, such as mammogram testing sites, exist for women in these areas. Rather, breast health resources are concentrated in the north and northwest regions, which also have the lowest breast cancer mortality rate.
The study examined the local resources available to address each health problem for four underserved, racially diverse neighborhoods: Albany Park (northwest), Chicago Lawn (southwest), South Lawndale and Auburn Gresham (both far south.)
Though the south and southwest regions of Chicago have high rates of HIV infection, HIV test sites are more plentiful in the north, central and west regions.
?People in the south and southwest don?t have the same opportunity to improve their health status,? said Julie Yonek, research associate at the Center for Healthcare Equity at Northwestern?s Feinberg School and lead author of the study. ?They won?t have the same opportunity to find out their HIV status, which would enable them to have access to early treatment and delays the progression of the disease.?
?The issues and disparities outlined in this report are unacceptable, which is why we have to work together as a city to align our focus and resources to create a healthier city for all Chicagoans,? said Chicago?s Commissioner of Health Bechara Choucair, M.D. ?Our new public health agenda, which launches tomorrow, will be Chicago?s first comprehensive public health agenda and the most direct assault on racial and ethnic health disparities in the city of Chicago.?
Chicago Lawn, for example, is a community with few resources to encourage physical activity and healthy eating, according to the study. Compared to the other three communities, the neighborhood has far fewer stores to buy fresh produce or places to be physically active. Many health experts point to the importance of the availability of supermarkets, playgrounds and other environmental factors as key factors in reducing childhood obesity rates.
?Residents? health suffers and health care costs rise when people live in unhealthy neighborhoods,? said Romana Hasnain-Wynia, study coauthor and director of Northwestern?s Center for Healthcare Equity. ?Everyone in the city is affected when people can?t easily find a doctor, go for a walk or buy a piece of fruit.?
?You can have the most impact when you focus on the biggest problem,? said Hasnain-Wynia, also an associate professor of medicine at the Feinberg School. ?This information helps the city identify where it should target its resources to reduce disparities in health care, such as providing funding for free clinics in a neighborhood, if there?s a scarcity of primary care providers.?
For each winnable battle, the study reveals major health disparities according to race and ethnicity. Black residents, who comprise an estimated 33 percent of Chicago?s population, and Hispanic/Latino residents, who comprise 27 percent of the population, fare worse than white residents. (The population figures are from 2009.)
Racial/Ethnic Disparities
Childhood Obesity
In 2009, a higher proportion of black (22.6%) and Hispanic/Latino (22.4%) Chicago high school students were overweight, compared with white students (11.8%).
HIV/AIDS
In 2008, blacks in Chicago accounted for 60% of the HIV diagnoses in adolescents and adults despite representing one-third of Chicago?s population.
Teen Pregnancy
In 2007, more than 95% of Chicago?s teen births occurred among black and Hispanic/Latina females.
Breast Cancer
The most recent Chicago data available (3-year average, 2005) indicate that the cancer mortality rate for black women is 1.62 times higher than for white women (38.3 per 100,000 females vs. 23.6 per 100,000 females).
Motor Vehicle Injury and Death
In 2007, the death rate in Chicago from motor vehicle accidents was highest among blacks (11.3 per 100,000 population), approximately twice that of whites (5.5 per 100,000 population).
A series of maps were created for the study illustrating the prevalence of disease rates and distribution of Chicago?s health care resources including primary care clinics, primary and specialty-care physicians, hospitals, HIV test sites and breast health services.
?The maps help communities identify areas where resources are lacking,? Yonek said. ?Documenting health and resources at the community level helps people feel accountable. Now they can see how to make a difference.?
