Gramma turns 90 in Calgary | Rowan Family Tree

After one day in Creston, it was off to Calgary to celebrate my Gramma?s 90th birthday.

Nona, as she is called by the girls, actually turns 90 in January, but we had the rare chance to get our whole family together around Christmas, so we seized it. All of the cousins haven?t been together since I graduated from my bachelor?s degree, which was more than a decade ago. The reason is because we live all over the place. But my cousin D was in from Sierra Leone, and my cousin S was in from the UK, and the rest of us migrated in from Western Canada to celebrate our gramma together. IT was so nice to catch up and share more than quick hellos with them.

We did a lot of visiting, a fair bit of shopping, a little walking, and had a ton of photographs taken. The photograph results you?ll just have to wait to see until they arrive :-) Perhaps in my VERY late Christmas cards?

Well, after a short 2 night visit, Jason took the girls off to Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, to visit his mom, and I flew home to Kelowna to work and get ready for the next semester! Now THAT was a crazy December!!
