China launches three scientific exploration satellites

TAIYUAN, China, July 20 (UPI) -- China said Saturday it has successfully launched three satellites for scientific experiments into space.

The Chuangxin-3, Shiyan-7 and Shijian-15 satellites were carried into Earth orbit via a Long March-4C carrier rocket, China's official Xinhua news agency reported.

They will mostly be used for conducting scientific experiments on space maintenance technologies, the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center said.
